  • 摘要:Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has very good utility in the real world applications. It is being used in many fields to monitor environment, observe wildlife habitat, surveillance and so on. Typically a WSN has a collection of sensor nodes that sense data from surroundings and send it towards sink or base station. In order to achieve this in a better way, various topologies came into existence. Fast data collection is aim of using the best topology as the real time communication between the sensors and sink is desired. The kind of communication is many to one which is also known as convergecast. Recently Incel, Ghosh, Krishnamachari, and Chantalapudi proposed a solution for fast data collection problem. They used various schemes such as link based and node based channel assignment schemes in order to get rid of interference. In this paper we enhance the schemes by using a hybrid approach which combines two kinds of channels. We also did experiments using variable amount of data. We built a prototype application to simulate the proof of concept. The experimental results are encouraging.
