摘要：Focalizo nesse artigo duas práticas culturais juvenis na cidade de São Paulo, o movimento hip-hop e os saraus. Considero especialmente como objeto de reflexão os nexos entre o hip-hop e os saraus literários. A nossa hipótese é que o evento-sarau e o hip-hop apresentam diferenças, mas também semelhanças. Compartilham, por exemplo, de uma mesma postura crítica sobre a segregação urbana, protestam contra a violência que atinge os jovens, questionam as violações aos direitos humanos, denunciam o racismo e promovem intervenções que têm como suporte a linguagem artística. Embora o elemento de maior visibilidade no hip-hop seja a música rap e nos sarau a poesia, identifico convergências entre ambas as modalidades. O estudo que realizamos no sarau Vila Fundão confirma que o hip-hop e a literatura dividem um mesmo território físico-cultural. A arte nesse contexto simboliza um movimento de protesto contra a segregação urbana.
其他摘要：This article focuses on two cultural practices of youth in the city of São Paulo, the hip-hop movement and literary saraus. Our hypothesis is that there are both differences and similarities between the sarau-events and hip-hop. For example, they share a critical posture towards urban segregation, they protest the violence that afflicts youth, question the human rights violations, denounce racism and promote interventions supported by artistic language. While the element of greater visibility in hip-hop is rap music and in the sarau poetry, we identify convergences between the modalities. The study that we conducted at the Sarau Vila Fundão confirms that hip-hop and literature share a single physical-cultural territory. These artistic practices symbolically express a protest movement against the new forms of socio-spatial segregation.
