摘要:Wireless LAN provides the connectivity to the mobile users. WLAN uses the IEEE 802.11 standard. MAC layer of IEEE 802.11 use two functions to access the medium Distributed Coordination Function (DCF) and Point Coordination Function (PCF). There are several factors that affect the Quality of Services of voice traffic in the WLAN like delay, jitter, throughput, etc. A lot of work has been done to improve the PCF and QoS of WLAN. In this paper the Multi Packet MICF scheme is proposed to improve the QoS. The effect of packets in downlink traffic is analysed. This technique reduces the delay and increase the number of stations.
