摘要：This paper aims to present the results of a study conducted to conclude the effective use of online public access catalogue (OPAC) at the library of Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering in Chennai The paper examines the result from a questionnaire-based survey conducted at the central library. Nearly 200 questionnaires were distributed to the staff and students, out of which 172 filled questionnaires (86 %) were received after duly filled for analysis. The results of the study reveal that a significant number of users search information regarding the library material through OPAC. Inadequate the systems were found to be the major reason for not utilizing of OPAC.
