摘要:The concept of the effective conductivity of carbon nanotube (CNT) material is introduced and used to investigate the radiation characteristics of various configurations of CNT dipole antenna. The concept takes into account the frequency dependent complex permittivity of the CNT material and lends itself to a virtual CNT dipole suitable for adaptation in conventional antenna theory and in commercial electromagnetic software solvers. Simulation results related to single–wall, multi-wall, and bundle CNT dipole antennas are presented using CST software package to show the effect of various geometric parameters on antenna performance. The problem of antenna feeding is also discussed and leads to the proposal of using CNT transmission line feeder.
