摘要:This paper presents a simple but secure novel reversible scheme for hiding a whole encrypted image inside another cover image. A selected image to be hidden is first encrypted using logical bit operations. A circular bit rotation and XOR operations are applied on an image according to a variable length randomly generated numerical encryption key. Each pixel is rotated to the left when encountering a positive key value and to the right when encountering a negative key value; then the resulting rotated pixel is XORed with the key and the same procedure is performed for each pixel. The result is an encrypted image that is inserted into a larger cover image using 8 pixels of the cover to hide one pixel (8 bits) of the encrypted image. The extracted hidden image is then extracted and decrypted using the same encryption key by performing a reversal of bit rotation and XOR. The algorithm is completely reversible; meaning the original image can be recovered without any loss or distortion. This method is suitable for hiding personal images to be stored or sent over the Internet but not efficient for sensitive images that are attacked with various methods. If the image is attacked by a Gaussian noise (s >5) then a very noisy image is recovered. Similarly, if the image is attacked by compression then the original image can hardly be recovered.
