摘要：The IEEE 802.16 standard is one of the promising technologies that provide broadband wireless access for the metropolitan area network (MAN). Several performance analysis techniques exist for performance evaluation of this network. Simulation is one of the most widely used in both academia and Industry. Different Simulation tools are available including public, private and standalone simulators. However, due to the numerous number, complex structure and enormous cost of these Simulators. In this paper, we provide a survey on existing IEEE 802.16 simulators available in the public domain as well as standalone simulators. The goal of the survey is to reduce the burden of searching for the appropriate simulator to be used by researchers.
