摘要：This study examined the factors that employed the usage of social networks among University students, with a special focus of Age, learning and social contacts. The study investigated the impact of age difference and their relationship that exists between social contacts, and the usage of social networks. A sample of 60 students from the University of South Whales-Treforest Campus was selected to take part in the study. The overall response rate of the study was over 53% (32 out of 60). The result shows that 78.1% of the respondents, between the age of 17-25, were more engaged in the usage of social networking sites as compared to the ones above 26; this examines that, younger age play a significant role in the usage of social networks. The research concludes with the analysis that learning has positive relationship to the usage of social network sites, amongst the students with 46.7% against social contacts which have 18.8%.
