摘要：The article analyzes a concept of 'information society' and theories associated with it. The authors note the un- certainty of this concept and the presence of contradic- tions and utopianism elements in these theories. The pa- per highlights the key socio - cultural conflict, expressed by the opposition 'real – virtual', which penetrates all spheres of information society's life.
