摘要：The c ase study is actively used by f oreign language teachers in teaching process. The method helps to make the educational process closer to reality, thus motivating the students. The c ase study may be applied not only as the teaching method , but also as a means of assessment. It is reasonable to use the case study at the advanced stages of learning , when students have the necessary level of both language and cognitive, re- search competences.
