  • 摘要:This work co nsists to study the mechanism of the process of solubilization of phenol in low concentration in cationic and anionic micellar systems in the presence, respectively, of surfactants N-Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide (CTAB) and Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS). A preliminary study of micellar properties such as critical micelle concentration (CMC), Krafft temperature (T K ), the ionization degree α, the number of N micellar aggregation and the HLB constant of the two surfactants used was conducted. The results showed that their T K are equal to 24°C and 16°C respectively for CTAB and SDS, and the temperature is a negative parameter to the formation of micellar phase. Furthermore, the study of micellar solubilization of phenol in both micellar systems showed that phenol is solubilized in the micellar phase by acting as a co - surfactant agent following two mechanisms: in the presence of SDS, the phenol solubilization occurs at the heart of the micelle, while in the case of CTAB, it occurs at the level of the cro wn between the polar heads of the surfactants.
