摘要：Study plans required to obtaining university degrees in Archival and Library Sciences in Costa Rica are analyzed with the purpose of identifying the educational framework around audiovisual documentation. To achieve this objective, study plans from the following schools have been analyzed: Faculty of Information Library Sciences of the Costa Rica University, Faculty of Library, Documentation and Information of the National University, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanity of the Universidad Estatal a Distancia, Faculty of Library of the University Autonoma of Centroamerica and the Faculty of History and Archival Sciences of the Costa Rica University. Additionally, a status analysis is developed by reviewing existing documentation on previous study plans research works and also about the important of audiovisual documentation.
