摘要：Este artículo indaga en qué medida la teoría crítica sobre la naturaleza –es el caso del enfoque ecocrítico en relación con la biopolítica y el feminismo– resulta fructífera para la lectura de la novela cubana Desde los blancos manicomios , de Margarita Mateo (2010). El sujeto, el cuerpo, el poder, los límites entre lo humano y lo animal son temas que recurren en esta lectura, que articula su reflexión sobre la visión crítica del entorno que sostiene la obra, específicamente, desde el lugar social marginado del manicomio. A través del juego intertextual y con los géneros se pone de manifiesto que la naturaleza también es una idea construida sobre la que lecturas de islas y archipiélagos se constituyen en diálogo con una biblioteca caribeña. Abstract This article researches in what way critical theory on Nature –as is the case of ecocriticism in relation with biopolitics and feminism- offers a fruitful analysis of the Cuban novel Desde los blancos manicomios , by Margarita Mateo (2010). Themes like the subject, the body, power, the limits between the human and the animal are topics that are recurrent in this close-reading and that articulates a reflection on the criticial vision of surroundings dealt with by the novel, specifically from the marginal place of the madhouse. The intertextual play shows that nature is also a construction, and in this case built on the readings of the island and archipelagos constituted in dialogue with a Caribbean archive.
