摘要：En el presente articulo se trabajará con The Fat Black Woman's Poems de la autora guyanesa Grace Nichols, buscando integrar las cuatro series que componen el poemario. Se hará un rastreo de los análisis realizados desde el feminismo que dan cuenta de la hipervisibilidad del cuerpo y la sexualidad femenina presente en la serie homónima al libro, para ofrecer otro punto de vista que permite integrar cuerpo y espacio desde una perspectiva feminista. Así, a partir del concepto de “espacio paradojal” de Gillian Rose, se mostrará que la poesía de Nichols se construye mediante tensiones de sentido que hacen convivir el Caribe, el Reino Unido y África, en las que cada región se halla latente en la otra. Se verá que esa original forma de dar cuenta de la vivencia del sujeto atravesado por esos espacios que, al mismo tiempo, configura, es la manera novedosa en que Nichols consigue narrar la experiencia diaspórica.AbstractIn this article, we will analyze The Fat Black Woman's Poems, by Guyanese author Grace Nichols, seeking to integrate the four series that conform the book. We will track the feminist analysis of the readings that give count of the hypervisibility of the feminine body and sexuality, especially in the series that carries the same name than the present book, in order to offer a different point of view that will allow us to integrate body and space from a feminist perspective. Thus, by adopting Gillian Rose's concept of “paradoxical space” we will show that Nichols' poetry is built by tensions of meaning that bring the Caribbean, the UK and Africa to coexist in a space where each region is latent in the other. It will be seen that this original way of addressing the experience of the subject crossed by those spaces that, at the same time, s/he her/himself configures, is a new way in which Nichols narrates the diaspora.
