其他摘要:Individual selection of pedunculate (Quercus robur) and sessile oak (Quercus petraea) clones with late bud-break, which significantly reduces the possibility of spring frost damage, was made in five experimental provenance plots of oak (Netolice, Plasy, Tvrdonice, Troubky, Malenovice), established in 1984. It was assumed that the breeding effect of creating a new synthetic population resistant to late frost can be achieved by individual selection. This paper presents results of phenological observations of the spring bud-breaking process. The results show that much later flushing individuals were found in peduculate oak, which, on average, sprout later than sessile oak. Healthy individual late budding trees, which are of appropriate quality particularly in terms of stem form, were selected for further vegetative reproduction. The reproductive material from the selected individuals was collected, and then reproduced using in vitro methods. The main objective was to grow synthetic clonal population of pedunculate and sessile oak resistant to late frosts.
