摘要：The National forest policy (1988) of our country emphasis that forests not to be looked upon as a source of revenue only. Forests are renewable natural resources. They are the national assets to be protected and enhanced for the well being of the people and the nation. The forests make a significant direct and indirect contribution to human life and particularly to people living in and around forests.
