摘要:T he importa nce of e conomic educ ation goe s fa r beyond the goa l of impr oving an understa nding of the ba sic principles of supply and de mand a nd the w or kings of ou r ec onomy. Ec onomic a ttitudes a nd opinions should be a topic of interest to teachers of economics, whether they teach it as a separa te course or integrate it into the existing curriculum. T his study explores students' perceptions of economics education by u sing a n explora tory fac tor ana lysis (EFA). A n a ttitude towa rds economic s educa tion (AT EE) scale wa s constructed to c ollec t data. Seven fa ctors we re extra c ted by using a rota te d fa ctor ma trix. Fema le stude nts outper for med ma le stu dents pertaining to continuous a ssessme nt ma rks. Final exa mination re sults revea led tha t ma le students' a chievements were significa ntly higher tha n female students.
