  • 摘要:The ma in aim of this study wa s to determine perceived challenges faced by visually-impa ired students in Open and D ista nce Lear ning centr es in Zimbabwe . A descriptive su rvey a pproa ch wa s used in this study. A purposive sample of 102 students with visua l impairments in 5 ODL tertia ry institutions in Zimba bwe was used in this study. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. Quantitative data were analysed using percenta ges and qua lita tive data were analysed using themes derived from resea rch questions. T he study found tha t O DL modes of delivery were exclusionary in nature and lacked suitable fa cilities catering for students with disabilities. Implications of the findings are presented in detail in the study
