摘要:T he pre se nt stu dy sought to esta blish male lectu rer s' view s a bout their fema le counterpa rts in Teac he r Educa tion Colleges in Masvingo Province of Zimba bwe. T he study u tiliz ed a desc riptive survey design which ma de use of a combina tion of qua ntitative a nd qua litative approa ches. A random sa mple of male lecturers selected from the three tea cher tr aining colleges pa rtic ipa ted in the stu dy. D ata we re collec te d using a semi- str uc tu red que stionna ir e. Perc enta ge computa tions wer e used to ana lyze the qua ntita tive da ta while c ontent analysis was used to analyze qualitative data . The study found that male college lecturers largely held positive views a bout fe ma le lecturer s in terms of the pr omotion, staff and c are er de velopment. H owever, the re we re gendere d views in female lec turers' roles a s wives and mothers at home and in task allocation at the w orkplac e. The study conclude s tha t ma le lec tu rers ge nera lly view ed women as e qua ls a nd ac cepted them a t the w orkpla ce thou gh gendered views about women remained in other a reas
