摘要：The aim of the study w as to investigate the psycho-socia l impact of single pa renthood on teenage mother s. A phenomenological study wa s condu cte d. N ine par ticipa nts w ere purposefu lly sele cted for the study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect data. Thematic content analysis was used to ana lyze da ta. T he study found tha t single te enage motherhood is psychologically distr essful, a ffe cts r ela tionships with signific ant other s, their e du cation a nd lea ds to economic de pe ndence on pa rents a nd government gr ant. T he single teenage mothe rs shou ld get support from their pa re nts, pe ers, tea cher s and the community to help them c ope w ith the cha llenges that they encounter.
