摘要:This study investigates the extent to which Business Studies tea chers in Botswana's secondary schools impr ovise instru ctiona l mater ia ls by using resou rce s fr om the c ommunity. D a ta we re ga th ere d by mea ns of struc tu red interviews, class obser vations, the a nalysis of te ache rs' tea ching plans a nd r ela te d docu ments. T he findings revealed that Business Studies teachers mostly rely on instructional ma terials supplied by the school and do not put locally a vaila ble busine ss commu nity resour ces, which ar e a bunda nt and ca n be source d with m inimum expenditure of money and energy, to maximum use. T he study concluded by recommending tha t teachers should be more resou rceful and a ttempt to incorporate improvisation into their schemes of work and le sson plan s to foster crea tivity a nd fina ncia l independence from the school
