摘要:Research studies reported that playing ga mes in the cla ssroom does not solve all educational challenges but ga mes and simulations are u seful tools to actively involve stude nts in their learning. T his study explores the educational value of economics ga mes on student learning in economics education. A quota sa mpling of fourte en Economics education students were identified and selected for the semi-structured interviews. An interview schedule was used to obtain data. Findings revealed those students' viewed in-class simulated games as a valuable tool which contr ibuted to their lea rning which implies tha t student a chie vements w ere enhanced by the in-cla ss struc ture d activities. Economics games enha nced their a cademic performa nces, interpersonal rela tionships and linked to real- life experiences on how markets oper ate. They acquir ed and improved their social skills and gained c onfidence in their a bility to apply the skills effec tive ly dur ing the ga mes in the cla ssr oom. La stly, the ec onomics ga mes motiva te d students to take responsibility for their own lea rning.
