摘要：The perce ptions on susta ina ble livestock tr aining given to fa rmers from different c ommunities of the Biosphere Re se rve La Se pultur a (BI RESE) we re ana lyzed. T he re se ar ch wa s condu cted from Ja nua ry to Dece mber 2011 through a socio-anthropologica l study based upon an evaluative diagnosis, with semi-structured intervie ws, ethnogra phy, observa tions, a nd colle ction of tra ining materials. The informa tion wa s synthesized in ta bles, considering the points of vie w of livestock farme rs, repr ese nta tives from the institutions supporting the tra ining and the tra ining tea m. The a na lysis focuse d on the background, topics, methods, results a nd expe ctations of the tra ining. Results showed tha t farmers and representa tives of the different institutions perce ived few changes in livestock systems as a consequence of the training given in the context of BIRESE. However, farmers stated tha t there were some changes in the system, for example, the increase of production as an indirect result of the training rec eived. Both the far mer groups a nd the re presenta tives of the institutions ar e optimistic for the futur e and acknowledge that cattle ra ising ca n be done in an environmental friendly wa y. The reason of this perception is the permanent presence of actors promoting sustainable livestock. Farmers consider a dopting the acquired pra ctices a s a very impor ta nt issue, a lthou gh they r efer to la ck of financia l resour ces a nd te chnica l assessment as the ma in limita tions for its implementa tion. It is concluded tha t the pe rceptions on training are ver y simila r among a ll actors involved in the BIRESE, which can be c onside red a s a n adva nta ge for the initiative s or processes to be enc oura ged at short and middle terms in relation to sustainable livestock.
