  • 摘要:This study was set to investigate the opinions of grade one teachers a nd tea chers-in-charge (TICs) on the performance of grade one children pre-school and those who did not a ttend pre-schools. T he sample constituted 5 schools from which 5 teachers – in – charge and 30 tea chers were ta ken, making a total of 35 respondents. To collect the da ta, 2 instruments were used for teachers and tea chers–in-charge. These were labeled appendices 1 a nd 11 respective ly. An inter view schedule wa s a lso employe d to c ompleme nt the qu estionnaires. It wa s r e vealed thr ou gh this study tha t childr en w ho ha ve be en expose d to pre -sc hools pe rform be tter than the ir coun terpa rts du ring the first six we eks. The findings ha ve a lso cle arly shown that children from pre -schools are socia lly a nd emotionally adju sted and therefore a re a ste p ahea d tha n the ir counterpa rts.
