摘要：The present study is an a tte mpt to assess the guidance needs of senior secondary school adolesc ents of Imphal districts, Ma nipur, across type of fa mily. 65 1 re sponde nts consisting of 2 72 boys and 37 9 girls were ra ndomly dra wn from 60 schools of I mphal district. Socio-demographic pr ofile of respondents was studied using self-structured performa and their guidance needs was assessed using Guida nce Needs Inventory. Results revealed tha t responde nts from both the fa mily types had extreme need for physical, edu cational and voca tiona l guidance and least need for psychological guida nce. Similarly, among the five domains of guidance, respondents from nuclear and joint fa milies expressed need for voca tional guida nce on top priority. G uidance needs of respondents in all the doma ins were observed to be insignificantly re lated to their type of fa mily.
