  • 摘要:Meningkatkan taraf hidup golongan rentan seperti komuniti orang asli memang merupakan tujahan utama dala m perjuangan panjang Malaysia merealisasikan pembangunan yang inklusif dan setara. Untuk ini pe ndidikan formal bagi anak orang asli me mang dianggap sebaga i mekanisma paling tepat. Kertas ini bertujuan mengenalpasti dan menganalisis faktor ya ng mempengaruhi prestasi pendidikan anak-anak Orang Asli. Ka jian dijalankan di SK Pos B rooke dan SK Pos Pulat yang terletak di Jajahan Gua Musang Kelantan. Data kajian di perolehi melalui kaedah soalselidik, temubual da n permerhatian di lapanga n. Respoden kajian melibatka n 26 orang guru dan 50 orang ibu bapa Orang Asli. Secara keseluruhannya, hasil kajian menunjukkan prestasi pendidikan pelajar Orang Asli di kawasan kajian berada di peringkat ya ng sangat rendah, walaupun pelbagai pembangunan infrastruktur dan pelbagai program pendidikan telah dilaksanakan untuk mereka. Faktor yang dikenalpasti mempengaruhi prestasi pencapaian pendidikan anak-ana k Orang Asli ialah sikap ibu bapa yang tidak mengambil berat tentang pelajaran anak-anak, pelajar kurang motivasi, halangan oleh persekitaran fizikal dan buda ya yang tidak menerima ke majuan serta cabaran guru. Bagi meningkatkan prestasi pendidikan generasi muda Orang Asli ma ka perlulah penyusunan se mula program pendidikan untuk Orang Asli oleh semua pihak yang berwajib
  • 其他摘要:Uplifting the standard of living of vulnerable groups such as the aboriginal communities has always taken centre stage in Malaysia 's long struggle for inclusive and equitable development. Towards this end formal education for the aboriginal children is considered the ultimate mechanism. This article aims to identify a nd analyse the actual factors that influence the educational performance of the aboriginal children. The study was conducted at the School of Pos Brooke and Pos Pulat in the District of Gua Musang, Kelantan. Data for this study were obtained through field observations, questionnaire surve ys and interviews of 26 school teachers and 50 aboriginal parents. In general, the results showed that the overall educational performance of the aboriginal childre n in the study area was very low despite the implementation of various infra structures and educational programmes specially tailored for them. Factors influencing such a sorry state of affair had been identified to be the indifferent attitude of parents towards their children's education, the children's own lack of motivation, the impeding physical environment, and certain cultural ele ments that hindered the children educational development and proved gravely challenging for the teachers. To rectify the situation the educational progra mme for the aboriginal people would need some restructuring and tinkering by the relevant agencies and authorities
