摘要：Android is one of the most popular open source mobile operating systems for smart phones. It facilitates a large number of applications for daily routine tasks ranging from entertainment to effective communication. On the other hand due to its open source architecture it is also vulnerable to malware attacks. These attacks leave traces in android operating system. Hence there is a need to develop a systematic approach to gather evidences from the android operating system. In this paper vulnerability of android software stack has been identified. Further, to improve the investigation process a systematic approach has been explored. This work aims to explore security risks associated with the android smartphone and major problems in android forensics
