摘要：Now-a-day’s vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-toinfrastructure communication has become promising platform for highly mobile applications. Considering the impact of automobile industry, embedding software-based intelligence into vehicles has the power to drastically improve the user’s quality of life. After understanding this impact increasing market demand for entertainment, security and reliability in automobiles has resulted in significant development and support of vehicular networks and applications. These emerging applications are spread across many fields from internet on wheels entertaining games, shopping to crime solving, etc. This paper presents a survey of such applications. Some of which are directly VANET based and some create their own network structure like VANET
