摘要：The curriculum of a program in Information T echnology must be current and competitive to remain relevant and valua ble. The authors of this paper outline the evolution of an Information Technology networki ng lab that is used to support undergraduate courses in networking and information assurance. An explanation of the processes, opportunities, challenges, and outcom es are available in the Evolution of the Lab section . Finally the paper concludes with impl ications for students and recommendations for other higher education institutions that are considering implementing similar laboratory environments as a means of enhancing theory with practical h ands - on learning opportunities for students.
