摘要：The Internet of Things (IoT) employs radio tags to uniquel y identify and create computerized inventories of all types of objects and persons. Considered by many to be the next evolution in Internet technology , the IoT connects virtual and physical worlds in highly unified and increasingly useful ways. The world i s currently poised to experience widespread use of this potentially disruptive technology , which will facilitate human - to - human (H2H), human - to - thing (H2T), and thing - t o - thing (T2T), also referred to machine - to - machine (M2M) interactions. This paper provi des an overview of the IoT, discusses its potential as a disruptive technol ogy , and highlights the societal implications of the IoT .
