摘要:By the representation way, by the manner of selecting the elementsrepresented graphically in a determined natural or administrative area, by thegeographic location, the tourist map can have various subjectivism degrees. In the caseof the present study, using a methodology tested in the specialty literature, there areanalyzed the advantages and disadvantages which can be provided by an orientationand information cartographic material at the level of a tourist resort (Băile Felix) bylocation and content. Through this analysis and exemplifications, there are providedgood and bad practice examples in the tourist planning and organization politics on thepromotion and information segment, by placing boards with cartographic material. Theobjectivity and complexity of such a map changes when it is elaborated for a certainarea (public or private) and it represents “by extraction” only certain elements from thesame area, excluding the others of the same type. Under such circumstances, a type ofselective, subjective and exclusive map is created
