标题:EVALUATION OF THE MATHEMATICS QUESTIONS IN THE LAST TWELVE YEARS OF THE PUBLIC BOARDING AND BURSARY EXAMINATION FOR THE FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS ACCORDING TO THE BLOOM TAXONOMY
摘要:The objective of this study is to analyze the mathematics questions of the last 12 years in the Public Boarding and Bursary Examination for the 5th grade students according to the Bloom taxonomy and determine the cognitive levels of the questions. This would bring information on the extent of observing the general principles of measurement and assessment as stated in the regulation of primary education institutions.The research has been done on the classification of questions and cognitive domain behaviours. Therefore, this research is a kind of descriptive scanning model. Total 310 mathematics questions of the previous Public Boarding and Bursary Examinations (PYBS) for the fifth grade students have been obtained from the official web site of the Ministry of National Education (MEB). Each of these questions has been compared by a scale developed by 5 education specialists in accordance with the Bloom Taxonomy and cognitive levels have been determined. The study included Knowledge level analysis of the PYBS questions which demonstrated that most of the questions are in the Conceptual Knowledge domain and that there were very few questions from the Metacognitive Knowledge domain. It was found that the questions measured the problem solving and similar skills but were insufficient in measuring creative thinking, research and questioning.
