摘要:This study aims at defining the problems that Turkey's education system faces. The study was conducted with the qualitative research design. The study group of the study consists of 45 teachers, 17 students and 23 parents who attended secondary schools in the center of Elaz. g during the 2012-2013 academic year. The focus group discussion technique was used in this study in order to list the problems that Turkey's education system faces according to teachers', students' and parents' perceptions. Teachers offered 110 different opinions regarding the problems of Turkey's education system, these opinions were placed under six different themes by the researchers. These were; problems about the curriculum, problems about national education policy, test based instruction, poor school facilities, problems about parents and professional esteem. Parents offered 47 different opinions regarding the problems that Turkey's education system faces. These opinions were categorized as; instabilities in educational policy, problems about the test system, problems resulting from the clothing freedom practice and problems about course books. 56 different opinions put forward by students were categorized with the titles clothing freedom, test system, inequality o f opportunity in ed ucation and curriculum based instruction.
