摘要：More than once in San Diego’s long participation in conquering the air, parachute innovation and manufacturing were major industries. Although somewhat overshadowed by the region’s concentrated involvement with the development and production of both civilian and military aircraft, several parachute companies flourished for a time in San Diego. The men involved were daring pioneers in their own right—and some became business entrepreneurs with varying degrees of success.
