摘要：Genetic Algorithm searches for a good solution to a problem by taking inspiration from the natural selection of living beings. Among their lots of uses, we can consider information retrieval. In this field, the aim of genetic algorithm is to help an information retrieval system to find, in a huge collection of documents, a good reply to a query expressed by the user so as to increase the relevancy of the query. For this, the query is expanded using genetic algorithm. In this paper, Czekanowski coefficient is used during the expansion process to increase the efficiency of information retrieval.
