其他摘要：The press has been functioned as one of the most effective tools in the making of the public opinion for centuries. In this context, the most of the humor newspapers that published during The War of Independence, played an important role the announcement of the justification of The War of Independence and in improving the people's moral. Many humor newspaper that supports the government of .stanbul and Ankara was published during the occupation age . Among them the newspaper of "Güleryüz" published by Sedat Simavi and "Aydede" published by Refik Halid Karay have influence in this period. In this study, it is examined the contents of the cartoons in Güleryüz's first page. In the study that used the method of quantitative and qualitative content analysis, it is aimed to prove that how to increase the moral of Turkish nation through cartoons and contents which used the newspaper of Güleryüz during The War of Independence
