摘要：Introducción: la integración de las redes de servicios de salud, como proceso complejo, genera problemas prácticos que deben monitorearse e intervenirse sistemáticamente como requisito para garantizar cobertura universal en salud con sostenibilidad dentro de una estrategia de prestación basada en la atención primaria de salud. No se dispone de una herramienta de investigación multidimensional que permita caracterizar esta realidad. Objetivo: presentar una herramienta que permita caracterizar la integración alcanzada en redes de servicios de salud. Métodos: investigación de desarrollo en el área de sistemas y servicios de salud. En el diseño y desarrollo de la herramienta participaron un grupo de expertos líder y otros de trabajo seleccionados según criterios predeterminados. Definieron y caracterizaron el objeto de estudio, seleccionaron los criterios a utilizar, sus escalas de medición y definieron las formas de aplicar e interpretar la herramienta; se realizaron pruebas de campo para validar su factibilidad. Resultados: se desarrolló una herramienta de investigación con enfoque mixto, que incorporó un módulo para obtener información a través de técnicas cualitativas y otro cuantitativo. Utiliza indicadores y estándares de la integración para la medición del nivel alcanzado prefijados. Se generó información que pudo triangularse para el análisis de los datos y la toma de decisiones. La aplicación de la herramienta en una red, produce resultados válidos en cuanto a utilidad, factibilidad y conveniencia. Conclusiones: se presenta un producto para la investigación, de tipo multidimensional que puede utilizarse para caracterizar, con enfoque mixto, la integración en redes de servicios de salud.
其他摘要：Introduction: the integration of health service networks is a complex process generating practical problems that should be monitored for systematic interventions. This is a requirement to guarantee sustainable universal health coverage within a primary health care-based service rendering strategy. So far, there is no multidimensional research tool that may characterize this complex reality. Objective: to submit a tool for the characterization of the achieved health service network integration. Methods: developmental research in the field of health services and systems. The design and development of the said tool involved a group of leading experts and others specialists selected according to pre-established criteria. They defined and characterized the object of study, selected the criteria and the measuring scales to be used and also determined the ways of applying and interpreting such a tool. In situ tests were made to validate its feasibility. Results: a mixed approach research tool was developed with a module to collect data through qualitative techniques and another one through quantitative techniques. It used preset indicators and standards of integration to measure the reached level. The generated information could be triangle for the data analysis and the decision- making. The application of this tool in a network yields positive results in terms of usefulness, feasibility and suitability. Conclusions: this multidimensional product for research may be used to characterize with a mixed approach the health service network integration.
