摘要：El presente artículo sintetiza la evolución de la historia de la acción educativa de España en el exterior, haciendo referencia a las tendencias más relevantesen el desarrollo de la misma. El trabajo comienza con una breve introducción en la que se expone el estado de la cuestión y algunas peculiaridades del caso español en esta dimensión de las relaciones internacionales. A continuación, se presenta la evolución de la educación española en el exterior en cada uno de los cuatro períodos en los que se ha dividido su trayectoria histórica. Las conclusiones cierran el texto formulando algunas hipótesis de trabajo para el futuro y señalando la necesidad de realizar una revisión en profundidad de los logros y aspectos a mejorar en la acción educativa española fuera de nuestras fronteras.
其他摘要：This article summarizes the most significant trends in the history of Spanish education abroad. It starts with an introduction where the keys of the theme are explained and also some of the peculiarities in the implementation of thisdimension of the foreign relationship in the Spanish case. The text continues explaining the evolution of the Spanish education abroad in each of the four periods that have been established. The conclusions close the text formulating some hypothesis for the future and emphasizing the need of review the success and the challenges to be faced in order to improve the Spanish education abroad in the future.
