摘要：En este estudio, comentamos sobre las embarcaciones utilizadas por Cristóbal Colón en su IV viaje, la navegación a principios del siglo XVI, el río que encontraron en la costa Caribe de Costa Rica, el clima, y la flora de la isleta Uvita. Citamos descripciones del puerto de Limón en épocas diferentes y elaboramos algunas hipótesis sobre las condiciones de la costa antes del impacto de terremotos y de otros procesos que la han levantado. De igual forma, discutimos sobre el patrón de vientos recientes y su posible similitud con los de 1502.
其他摘要：In this study we comment on the ships used by Christopher Columbus in his IVth voyage, navigation at the beginning of the XVI century, the river that they found on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, the climate, and the flora of the Uvita islet. We cite descriptions of the port of Limón at different times, and make some hypotheses on the conditions of the coastline prior to the impact of earthquakes and other processes that have uplifted the coast. We also discuss recent wind patterns and their possible similarity to those of 1502.
