摘要：El origen del artículo es una reflexión que busca responder a la interrogante de hasta qué punto las ideas de la Revolución mexicana se reflejaron en la cultura regional de Yucatán en la etapa en que se construía una “mexicanidad” distinta para el México posrevolucionario. Se compara el tipo de reconocimiento que las artesanías recibieron en el centro del país y hasta qué punto se repitió en Yucatán. A partir de la visita que hizo a Yucatán el entonces secretario de educación, José Vasconcelos, y de las ideas en boga sobre el mestizaje cultural, se describe la situación que guardaba la cultura local. Si bien varios factores contribuyeron a que en el estado se asumieran como propias las ideologías del nacionalismo cultural, finalmente la historia yucateca y la apropiación que los artistas hicieron de los símbolos mayas aportaron sus propias expresiones nacionalistas influyendo incluso en el extranjero.
其他摘要：The article is a reflection that seeks to answer the question of to what extent the ideas of the Mexican Revolution were reflected in the regional culture of Yucatan at the stage when a different Mexican identity was being built for postrevolutionary Mexico. It compares the kind of recognition that popular arts and crafts received in the center of the country and in Yucatan. As from the visit to Yucatan of José Vasconcelos, then Secretary of Education, his ideas of cultural mixing are taken into consideration and the situation that kept the local culture is described. Although several factors contributed in the fact that Yucatan assumedthe ideologies of cultural nationalism, the history and the appropiation that Yucatecan artists did of the Mayan symbols, provided its own nationalist expressions and even held a strong influence abroad.
