摘要：O presente trabalho traz uma abordagem histórica das políticas públicas destinadas à cultura do trigo no Brasil e os reflexos da evolução destas políticas na atual posição da triticulturanacional. Esta cultura foi o esteio econômico da região Sul, no início do processo demodernização da agricultura, na década de 50 do século XX. Paulatinamente, com a reduçãodos subsídios e a consolidação do Mercosul a situação se agrava. Desta forma, colocase emxeque o desenvolvimento da cultura de trigo no país. Considerando se, porém, a capacidade produtiva existente e a produção da safra de 2003, ganha importância a implantação depolíticas de fomento à triticultura.
其他摘要：The present work brings a historical boarding of the public politics destined to the culture of the wheat in Brazil and the consequences of the evolution of these politics in the current position of the national wheat production. This culture was the economic esteio of the Southregion, in the beginning of the process of modernization of agriculture in the decade of1950. Gradually, with the reduction of the subsidies and the consolidation of the Mercosulthe situation if aggravates. Of this form, the development of the culture of wheat in thecountry is placed in xeque. However, considering it existing productive capacity, and theproduction of the 2003 harvest, gains importance the implantation of politics of promotionto the wheat production.
