摘要：O presente artigo, intitulado “A docência e suas representações: um olhar em relação aos cursos de História e Letras da Universidade Estadual de Londrina”, tem como objetivo identificar e analisar as representações dos alunos dos referidos cursos em relaçã o ao ser e fazer docente. Para o desenvolvimento deste estudo, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica e de campo. Participaram da pesquisa de campo alunos dos 1º e 4º anos dos cursos de História e Letras, tendo como finalidade perceber sua representação no que se refere ao ser professor e sua profissão. Para analisar a fala dos alunos, faz - se saber que a metodologia de pesquisa utilizada teve como parâmetro a Análise do Discurso. Verificou - se, por meio desta análise, que as representações do professor e d e sua profissão relacionaram - se a algo vocacionado e também de precarização do trabalho docente. Outro aspecto relevante a destacar é que foi possível constatar, por meio da fala dos discentes, que estes reproduziram um discurso oriundo do senso comum, sem terem uma reflexão crítica desta reprodução, ficando claro que cabe um debate e um repensar nestes cursos e na elaboração de seu currículo.
其他摘要：This article, entitled “Teaching and its representations: a look over the courses of History and Literature at the State University of Londrina”, aims to identify and anal yze the students’ representations of these courses in relation to the teachers’ being and practicing. To develop this study, we performed a literature and field research. Students of 1st and 4th year courses in History and Literature participated in the fi eld research in order to realize their representation with regard to being a teacher and his profession. To analyze the speech of the students, it is necessary to know that the research methodology used had Discourse Analysis as a parameter. Through this a nalysis, we verified the representations of the teacher and their profession were related to something geared and also casualization of teaching. Another relevant aspect to be highlighted is that we could see, through the speech of students, their reproduc tion of a speech derived from common sense, without a critical reflection of it; this became clear that a debate and a rethinking about these courses and it their curriculum is necessary.
