摘要：El presente artículo aborda el estudio del incremento del gasto militar de la República de Cuba entre 1956 y 1959 y los efectos sobre su desarrollo social. La influencia del proceso de conversión del Ejército Rebelde cubano en las Fuerzas Armadas Rebeldes bajo el modelo aprobado por el Pacto de Varsovia. La escalada del gasto militar se ha proyectado más allá de la caída de la URSS y sigue determinando en gran medida al Caribe como espacio para la confrontación multilateral de las grandes potencias del área.
其他摘要：The present study approaches the study of the process of increase of military expense in the Cuban Republic and the effects that on the social progress of its nation. The influence of the process of transformation of the Rebel Cuban Army in the Rebel Armed Forces under the model of organized determined by the Warsaw Pact, as well as the effects of the military dictatorship of Rafael Leónidas Trujillo on Dominican Republic. The effects of the scale in military expenses it has been projected beyond the fall of the USSR and continues determining to a great extent the Caribbean as a space arranges the multilateral confrontation of big powers of the area.
