摘要：El siguiente artículo explora los nexos entre la participación política y la actividad empresarial de los notables de Cartagena durante el decenio siguiente a la Guerra Civil de 1885. Desde esta perspectiva se indaga por las estrategias clientelares a las que recurrieron las familias de la élite que apoyaron al movimiento regenerador de Rafael Núñez. El trabajo pretende abordar una faceta poco conocida de los empresarios decimonónicos de Cartagena. Asimismo, se ilustran aspectos del mundillo de la política como podían ser la violencia partidista, los empréstitos forzosos, las elecciones, los contratos de suministros y obras públicas, los remates de rentas del Estado, permeados por los intereses de las redes familiares
其他摘要：This article explores the links between the political participation and the economical activities of the businessmen of the elite families of Cartagena during the next decade after the Civil War of 1885. This point of view analyses the clientele strategies of the notable families who support the political movement of Rafael Núñez, called as the Regeneración. This work sights a no well known aspect of the 19th century enterprises of Cartagena. Moreover, this paper shows the political world of the partys violence , the elections, the contracts of supplies for the State and public works, as well as the auctions of public rents, all of them crossed by familiar interests of the elite
