摘要：O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender o processo de instalação do ensino de medicina em São Paulo, entre fins do século XIX e início do século XX. Para tanto serão discutidas as mudanças que ocorriam no estado a partir da instalação da República e da criação de novas instituições médicas como Sociedade de Medicina e Cirurgia e Serviço Sanitário e inauguração de diversas revistas na área.
其他摘要：This work analyzes the changes occurred in the teaching of Medicine in São Paulo, Brazil, between the end of the XIX and beginning of the XX century. The transformations in São Paulo have been examined in a configuration of the State, the Nation and the Brazilian Republic level. The connection between the scientific definitions of health and education which were established at that moment and the creation of new institutions, like Sociedade de Medicina e Cirugia, Serviço Sanitário and several medical magazines have been analyzed inclusive.
