摘要：Este trabalho analisa o folclore gaúcho como complemento para a oferta turística existente na cidade de Irati-PR, Brasil. Como metodologia realizou-se pesquisa bibliográfi ca e de campo. Para embasamento teórico exploram-se os temas turismo, segmentação de mercado, turismo cultural, folclore, patrimônio e identidade cultural. O trabalho também discute a origem e a trajetória do gaúcho, informações gerais sobre a presença dos gaúchos no estado do Paraná e no município de Irati, e um levantamento das manifestações folclóricas gaúchas presentes no município. Ao fi m da pesquisa, chega-se à conclusão de que o folclore gaúcho representa um potencial produto turístico, mas que para tanto deve haver um maior desenvolvimento da atividade turística no município de maneira geral.
其他摘要：This study examines the gaucho folklore as a touristic product in the city of Irati-PR, Brazil. The methodology used was literature research and fi eldwork. For theoretical research was explored the themes tourism, market segmentation, culture, cultural tourism, folklore, heritage and cultural identity. This paper also discusses the origin and trajectory of the gaucho, general information about the presence of gauchos in the state of Paraná and the city of Irati, and a survey of folkloric gaucho present at the city. At the end of the search, the conclusion is that the gaucho folklore in Irati may represent a potential tourism product, but to can be used effectively there, must be a further development of tourism in the city in general.
