摘要:The aim of this paper is to show the evolution of Jon Elster′s thought about his action theory and his performance as philosopher of science. This paper shows that Elster has been modifying his thought and he is becoming sceptic about the explicative possibilities of the behaviour in the rational choice theory. With respect to this theory, Elster has found several restrictions and few solutions. Perhaps it is not a weakness of the theory but a restriction of the rationality. This case has forced him to add two new motivators for the behaviour: social rules and emotions.
