摘要:The following essay treats the introduction of the epicure philosophy in the leisure and the pleasure of the Roman society as form of political or social control between the centuries I AC and I DC. Generally, the Hellenic concepts of leisure will not be promoted in Rome. In effect, the Roman leisure was conceived as a practical space of rest, pleasure and ostentation instead of a process of cognitive development. Particularly, Rome tries a kind of popular leisure in massive form in accordance with political institutional interests
