摘要:This paper describes the creation and evolution of the self-access centre (mediateca) at theForeign Language Teaching Center at the National Autonomous University of Mexico,since its establishment in 1996, and its present profile as a learning space in the context ofthe university language center. It addresses the organization of the self-access system anddescribes the services it provides to foster learner autonomy, as well as the problemsencountered in the process. It mentions some future directions
