摘要：This paper sets up a dynamic optimization model to analyze the impact of military threats on defense industry. We prove that a rise in the foreign military threats will result in the shift of economic resources from the civilian sector to the defense sector. As a result, civilian sector shrinks and defense sector expands, a phenomenon resemble to so-called ‘Dutch disease’ in the trade literature.
